As a result of Hurricanes Irma and Maria, the University’s Registrar’s Office has extended the add/ drop period, until Friday, Oct. 13, 2017. Students with questions are asked to send an email to registrar@uvi.edu. Students who wish to withdraw from classes must do so before Oct. 13, 2017. Damages from Hurricane Irma at the Reichhold Center for the Arts

Reichhold Center ‘Rebound – Rebuild – Renew’

The Reichhold Center for the Arts, the Virgin Islands’ premier performing arts venue, has suffered major damages by Hurricanes Irma and Maria. The Reichhold Center, a 39-year-old structure, lost the roof over the stage and suffered massive flooding to the lower levels. The stage, rigging, lighting and sound systems have all been compromised. Due to the Center’s current state, the 39th Season has been cancelled. read more

UVI to Resume Classes on Oct. 9; Fall 2017 Semester Extended to Dec. 22

Classes at the University of the Virgin Islands will resume on Monday, Oct. 9, on both campuses. UVI President David Hall announced at the Governor’s Oct. 4, press conference that UVI will offer every class that was originally available when the Fall 2017 semester started. Classes will be offered in a variety of formats, including online, on weekends and other means to ensure that the semester is saved. read more

UVI Announces Work Schedule for Sept. 25-29

The University of the Virgin Islands is requiring all employees – except essential employees – who work on the St. Thomas Campus to report to work during the week of Sept. 25-29, 2017 consistent with existing curfew hours, but for a minimum of four hours each day. read more

UVI to Close in Advance of Hurricane Maria - UVI Classes Cancelled at Noon; Employees to Secure Work Areas by 2 p.m.

In preparation for Hurricane Maria, the University of the Virgin Islands will cancel all classes at noon on Monday, Sept. 18. The University will close today, until further notice. UVI employees are excused at 2 p.m., however, please stay until your work areas are secure. read more
