VIUCEDD to Host its 14th Annual Voices That Count Policy Forum

The Virgin Islands University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (VIUCEDD) will host the 14th annual Voices That Count (VTC) policy forum.

Voices That Count (VTC) was created by VIUCEDD whose mission is to promote accessibility, inclusion, and advocacy for Virgin Islanders with disabilities and their families. This forum uniquely brings together people with disabilities, people without disabilities, members from the legislative and executive branches of the Virgin Islands government, and the community-at-large to include: advocates, caregivers, family members, private businesses, and organizations to address the challenges and issues faced by Virgin Islanders with and without disabilities and those with special health care needs.

Discussions will be centered on improving the quality of life for people with disabilities in the Virgin Islands, which is one of VIUCEDD’s core focus.

This year’s forum will be held on Oct. 9 and 10 at the Administration and Conference Center (ACC) First-Floor Conference Room on the University’s St. Thomas Campus and Oct. 16 and 17 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the Great Hall on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix.
