Nursing students

Programs

UVI offers two nursing programs on both campuses - the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and the BSN Completion Program for eligible nurses who wish to complete the bachelor’s degree. Graduates of both programs are eligible to apply to take the licensure exam, NCLEX-RN, in any state or territory.

General Information

Ultimate NCLEX pass rate for recent graduates is 80.8%.

For the past three years, an average of 78% of students completed the BSN program in 5 to 6 semesters once admitted.

The School of Nursing, in a learner-focused and multi-cultural environment, prepares its graduates to meet the health needs of all people, with a focus on the U.S. Virgin Islands and the wider Caribbean.  Faculty strive for excellence through rigorous academic standards, innovative teaching strategies, research and community service.
