About
Founded in 1962, UVI is a public, co-ed, land-grant HBCU in the United States Virgin Islands.
The University of the Virgin Islands community is urged to monitor the approach of Tropical Storm Ernesto, which is expected to affect the territory on Tuesday evening. According to the National Hurricane Center’s 2 p.m. advisory, Ernesto has maximum sustained winds of 35 miles per hour and is moving west at 26 miles per hour. A tropical storm warning is in effect for the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The University community is asked to ensure that their homes and families are prepared for inclement weather as we approach the heart of hurricane season.
