Agricultural business is an interdisciplinary major that combines the study of business
and agriculture. According to California Polytechnic State University, 2021, a Bachelor
of Science in Agricultural Business prepares students for exciting and satisfying
careers in the dynamic global food and fiber supply chain. Agribusiness program provides
a course of study that develops the requisite critical thinking, problems solving
and business skills that are required to have a successful career in firms and organizations
that span and support industries and organizations across the entire food and fiber
supply chain.
According to the University of Nairobi, 2021, to improve livelihood of the society,
there is need to build knowledge and understanding of agribusiness and entrepreneurial
knowledge management and manpower with managerial skills on agribusiness enterprises.
The goal of this program is aimed at training agribusiness professionals with appropriate
scientific knowledge and skills required to implement sustainable business practices
to meet societal demands nationally and globally.
