Graduation Requirements
Entry level courses can be completed on either campus, but degree must be completed
on St. Thomas campus.
Required courses in Physics:
- PHY 241-242 General Physics I-II
- PHY 341 Modern Physics and PHY 351 Modern Physics Laboratories
- PHY 311 Classical Mechanics or PHY 321 Electromagnetism or PHY 411 Statistical Physics or PHY 441 Quantum Physics
Required supporting courses in Science and Mathematics:
- CSC 117 Introduction to Programming I
- MAT 241-242 Introduction to Calculus and Analytical Geometry I-II
- MAT 341-342 Intermediate Calculus I-II
- CHE 151-152 General Chemistry I-II and CHE 151L – CHE 152L or BIO 141-142 General Biology I-II
- CSC 333 Programming Languages or MAT 261 Linear Algebra
Note: MAT 346: Differential Equations is a recommended elective for students who have
space in their programs of study. However, depending on their career plans, students
may elect to take other laboratory science courses to broaden their science base.
