Minor in Mathematics
A wide variety of majors offered by UVI draw heavily upon mathematics, including
computer science, business, chemistry and, biology. Focused mathematical preparation
is highly desirable for students in these areas as they seek employment or apply to
graduate schools. The social sciences, too, are increasingly quantitative in nature,
demanding that students be able to rigorously analyze data using established numerical
methods. The minor in mathematics will increase students’ effectiveness and competitiveness
in these fields as well.
Entry level courses can be completed on either campus, but degree must be completed on St. Thomas campus.
