Eligible Employees: Regular Full-Time Employees
The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) offers medical insurance to regular full-time employees and their dependents. The Government of the Virgin Islands requires all regular full-time employees enroll in medical insurance. Enrollment changes can only be made during open enrollment unless a qualifying event occurs (i.e.: divorce, marriage, death, birth).
UVI and employee share the cost of medical insurance and provides the opportunity for pre-tax payroll deduction.

The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) offers dental insurance to regular full-time employees and their dependents. The Government of the Virgin Islands requires all regular full-time employees enroll in dental insurance. Dental coverage is optional for dependents. Enrollment changes can only be made during open enrollment unless a qualifying event occurs (i.e.: divorce, marriage, death, birth). Orthodontic benefits are provided for dependents under to the age of 25.
The University and the employee share the cost for dental insurance with the option for a pre-tax payroll deduction.

The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) offers vision insurance to regular full-time employees and their dependents. Enrollment for vision insurance is optional and offered as a pre-tax payroll deduction. If an employee does not elect to participate when initially eligible, he/she may elect to participate at the next open enrollment period.
