You may be gone from our presence, but never from our hearts. You would have gotten
your 5 year award this year, although you worked as a temp for many years prior to
that. You were always there for us and the sheep, adding your personal touch to everything
that was put before you. You were a wealth of knowledge and skills. Your dedication
and common sense benefited the program immeasurably. I could always count on you when
I was in a bind. Your sense of humor always lifted us up. We miss you every day. All

Honoree Name: Royson Joseph
Remarks:
Royson has been working with UVI-AES Animal Science longer than the 5 years. He was
a temporary employee for over 6 years before he was promoted to regular staff. He
spent several years as the only aide at the sheep farm and kept the place running.
His skills with the chainsaw and carpentry will always be remembered. He always took
pride in keeping things running properly and got to express his “artistic” side with
some of the construction projects he undertook. I didn’t always agree with the paint
colors he used on gates, but they worked great and didn’t really have to look that
pretty. He was a valuable member of the team and he will be missed.
