The University of the Virgin Islands Association of Black Journalists (UVIABJ) invites Virgin Island residents and UVI students to attend its 2nd Annual Journalism Summit online on November 11th and 12th, 2022.

This free event will feature presentations from media professionals, including Pulitzer Prize winner Melvin Claxton, TV producer Eva Coleman, "Unstoppable Yes You" podcaster Curlis Phillip, public affairs VP Jennifer Matarangas-King, radio personality Rashidi Clenance, and radio talk show host Neville James, who will share their professional and personal experiences, as well as respond to participant questions.

“UVIABJ's journalism summit is a great chance for all our attendees to engage with numerous speakers who are experts in the various fields of journalism and communications.” said UVIABJ Vice President Michael Bell.  “The summit is a great way for the community, near or far, to gain new knowledge to grow their skills and to take something away from our numerous panels throughout two days. My hope is that everyone who attends the UVIABJ summit will see the hard work great potential and showcase that UVIABJ has brought once again.”
