The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) is pleased to announce the grand opening of the 13D Research and Strategy Innovation Center on Monday, April 17 at 10 a.m., on the Orville E. Kean Campus on St. Thomas. The public is invited to view the grand opening live on social media.  

Located at the site of the former West Bay Supermarket, the new cutting-edge center is designed to bring students, researchers, businesses, government leaders and other stakeholders together to learn from one another and turn innovative ideas into reality. 

Within this newly renovated building, is a maker space, an innovation lab, artificial intelligence room, technology lecture space, conference room, classrooms, audio-visual capabilities, a culinary arts facility, juice bar and coffee shop.      

The 13D Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Kiril Sokoloff, will be in attendance along with renowned technology expert and bestselling author, Pascal Finette, who will serve as the keynote speaker.   

There will be immersive tours and demonstrations of the innovative technology in the center, as well as complimentary samples from the coffee shop, juice bar and culinary institute for invited guests.
