About
Founded in 1962, UVI is a public, co-ed, land-grant HBCU in the United States Virgin Islands.
Are you a person with a disability, a professional who works with people with disabilities, or a parent/sibling of an individual with intellectual/developmental disabilities? The Virgin Islands University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (VIUCEDD) in conjunction with the Westchester Institute for Human Development, and the School of Health Sciences and Practice New York Medical College will be hosting an information session to recruit new trainees for the 2023-2024 Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities (LEND) program.
The purpose of the LEND training program is to improve the health of infants, children, and adolescents with disabilities in the USVI. Trainees from diverse professional disciplines will be prepared to assume leadership roles in their respective fields and by ensuring high levels of interdisciplinary clinical competence. Chosen participants will receive full tuition and a stipend to acquire training in skills required by leadership advocates in the field of developmental disabilities.
To learn more about the LEND training program, please attend this information session on Tuesday, March 07, 2023. See flyer below and attached flyer for details.
