Founded in 1962, UVI is a public, co-ed, land-grant HBCU in the United States Virgin Islands.
A special invitation is extended to join President David Hall in his fifteenth and final State of the University Address as President of the University of the Virgin Islands on this Friday, August 18, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. President Hall will deliver his remarks to the University Community from the Orville E. Kean Campus on St. Thomas.
The meeting spaces on St. Thomas are Chase Auditorium B-110 (School of Business Building, upper campus), with spill-over seating in the adjacent B-101 room. On the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix, the remarks will be livestreamed to the Great Hall. Upon the conclusion of the remarks, individuals on both campuses will have an opportunity to ask President Hall questions directly.
In his last State of the University Address, President Hall is expected to provide an overview of achievements and initiatives for this upcoming academic year. He will also provide an update on salary increases, campus rebuilding efforts, and other key initiatives benefiting students and employees. Immediately following the President's remarks, Provost Camille McKayle will deliver at 11:00 a.m. her annual Faculty Address for faculty members.
