About
Founded in 1962, UVI is a public, co-ed, land-grant HBCU in the United States Virgin Islands.
UVI President Dr. David Hall hosted the 2023 Dean’s List Reception and Award Ceremony on Feb. 26, on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix. More than 500 parents, friends and loved ones watched as more than 100 high achieving students who made the Dean’s List, from Fall 2019 through Fall 2022, were recognized. Students and their families attended in-person for the first time since the COVID pandemic period.
The Dean’s List recognizes full-time undergraduate students (carrying 12 or more degree credits) who have earned a grade point average of 3.2 or higher for the semester, with no grade lower than C and not taking any remedial courses.
“These last few years have been especially challenging with the cascading disruptions and effects of the pandemic. Yet, these students continued to excel and are worthy of our celebration and recognition,” said UVI President Dr. David Hall.
