About
Founded in 1962, UVI is a public, co-ed, land-grant HBCU in the United States Virgin Islands.
UVI President Dr. David Hall is pleased to announce the resumption of the in-person Dean’s List Reception and Award Ceremony to recognize our high achieving students who made the Dean’s List. The University was unable to host in-person ceremonies during the COVID period and will be recognizing current students who made the Dean’s List from Fall 2019 through Fall 2022. The events will be hosted on both campuses and begin with a 2 p.m. reception followed by a 3 p.m. program.
At the University, superior student achievement is recognized in a number of ways during each academic year.
The Dean’s List recognizes full-time undergraduate students (carrying 12 or more degree credits) who have earned a grade point average of 3.2 or higher for the semester, with no grade lower than C and not taking any remedial courses. These last few years have been especially challenging with the cascading disruptions and effects of the pandemic. Yet, these students continued to excel and are worthy of our celebration and recognition.
Please come out and celebrate our students’ success. Events will be hosted as follows beginning at 2 p.m. on each campus:
There will be food, music and a wonderful program as we celebrate UVI excellence.
