About
Founded in 1962, UVI is a public, co-ed, land-grant HBCU in the United States Virgin Islands.
The Virgin Islands Marine Advisory Service (VIMAS) is gearing up for the International Coastal Cleanup also known locally as Coastweeks. Cleanups start on September 16 and will continue until October 29 with weather permitting.
Kick-off cleanups on St. Thomas will be on Brewers Bay from 9 a.m. - 11a.m. and on St. Croix at the Southgate Coastal Reserve from 8:30 a.m. -10 a.m.
Cleanup supplies will be provided; however, volunteers are encouraged to wear a hat, bring a reusable water bottle as we aim to reduce the amount of trash created during the cleanup, and please register for cleanups beforehand to receive updates on the status of cleanups.
Registration can be completed online at www.vimas.uvi.edu
