About
Founded in 1962, UVI is a public, co-ed, land-grant HBCU in the United States Virgin Islands.
UVI President Dr. Safiya George invites residents of the Virgin Islands to join in on a transformative journey as the University co-creates the future of UVI together.
The University is reimagining the future of UVI through an agile strategic planning process, and your input is essential. This isn’t your typical strategic planning process — this is an agile, innovative approach where your ideas will directly shape the University’s direction in ways never imagined.
Members of the wider Virgin Islands community are asked to come prepared with your ideas and recommendations for this facilitator-hosted creative session to imagine what’s possible for the University and help us make it happen. Together we will explore how we can make meaningful progress and consider exciting small projects to launch in the coming months.
The upcoming sessions will be held on Wednesday, October 9 at 6 p.m. in the Great Hall of the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix and on Thursday, October 10 on the island of St. John.
