About
Founded in 1962, UVI is a public, co-ed, land-grant HBCU in the United States Virgin Islands.
It is not too late to view the University of the Virgin Islands’ Special Convocation with United States Senator and Reverend Raphael Warnock, who spoke at UVI's Orville E. Kean Campus on April 3. Visit UVI’s Facebook page @UVI.edu and YouTube page @UVIvideos to see the entire event.

Reverend Warnock made history as the first Black U.S. Senator to represent Georgia, the first Black Democrat to represent a southern state in the Senate and is only the 11th black U.S. Senator in the nation's history. Rev. Warnock serves as the senior pastor of the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church, the spiritual home of the Reverand Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
