The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) Center for Marine and Environmental Studies (CMES) invites the public to attend an Open House at the newly renovated MacLean Marine Science Building on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on the Orville E. Kean Campus, John Brewers Bay Beach, St. Thomas.
The event, held as part of UVI’s 2025 Homecoming Week, will showcase the University’s cutting-edge research in marine ecology, coral and mangrove restoration, sea turtle tracking, robotics, and environmental technology. Guests will have the opportunity to tour modern laboratories, meet researchers and students, and enjoy light refreshments — including a special limited-edition craft beer brewed by Leatherback Brewing Company for the occasion.
