Presentations and Field Trips

VIMAS offers a variety of marine themed field trips and classroom presentations for class and community groups. Possible presentations and trips include:

  • mangrove and seagrass field trip to Columbus Landing
  • guided snorkel clinic
  • marine ecosystems presentation and game
  • squid dissection
  • tour of UVI Wetland Reserve
  • water pollution (point and nonpoint source pollution, watersheds)
  • coral reef ecosystem and associated habitats
  • marine invertebrates and seashell display
  • marine careers
  • algal and seaweed pressing
  • marine debirs
  • environmental philosophy
  • marine jeopardy
