The University of the Virgin Islands School of Business, in conjunction with the U.S. Virgin Islands Small Business Development Center (SBDC), will host a business webinar entitled “Small Business Conversations from the Frontline: Social Media Concepts and Strategies” on Thursday, Oct. 29 from 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Throughout the webinar, local small business owners and consultants will share insights as it pertains to the utilization of social media as a technology tool, while allowing attendees the opportunity to gain basic and technical knowledge with regards to the use of social media. The virtual seminar is the second event in a series of business-related webinars hosted by the School of Business. The webinar series was implemented for the purpose of providing business strategies, information, and assistance for small businesses, particularly those that have been severely affected by COVID-19.
“The School of Business at the University of the Virgin Islands and the Small Business Development Center are continuing their work with respect to assisting small businesses in the USVI facing business challenges in this global pandemic,” said Dr. Kendra Harris, dean of the School of Business. “Providing webinars is one of the ways we are providing that support. Social media is a tool that can be of tremendous value to businesses as they adjust their strategies in this current environment.”
