Founded in 1962, UVI is a public, co-ed, land-grant HBCU in the United States Virgin Islands.
The University of the Virgin Islands Board of Trustees will meet at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, in the Administration and Conference Center on the Orville E. Kean Campus on St. Thomas.
The meeting will begin with regular session agenda items, after which UVI President Dr. David Hall will present the President’s Report, followed by Board Chairman Henry Smock with the Chairman’s Comments. The Board will then consider other agenda items.
The Academic, Research, and Student Affairs Committee will present a proposal to the Board for a new Associate of Applied Sciences in Construction Management Degree. The program is designed to provide students interested in construction management with the requisite knowledge to support their interests and career goals.
The Board will hear a status report on fundraising from the Development Committee and take action on fundraising and alumni participation goals for Fiscal Year 2023.
Also, during Saturday’s meeting, the Finance and Budget Committee will present the Fiscal Year 2023 Operating Budget Revision Number One to the Board and take action.
The Planning Committee will then present UVI’s key performance indicators. The Board will go into executive session and will report any actions taken in executive session before adjourning.
