Members of the media are invited to cover and photograph a FirstBank of the Virgin Islands gift donation to a special program housed at the Virgin Islands University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (VUICEDD) on Friday, Oct. 6, at 11 a.m. in the University of the Virgin Islands’13D Research and Strategy Innovation Center, on the second floor on the Orville E. Kean Campus on St. Thomas. 

 First Bank Virgin Islands’ Community Development and Investment Fund has sponsored the purchase of durable medical equipment (DME) to be distributed to the disabled community as a part of the Assistive Technology Supply Closet at UVI’s VUICEDD. 

The program will serve anyone with a temporary or permanent disability who needs a piece of Durable Medical equipment, at no cost. The community lending supply closets will be available in both the St. Croix and St. Thomas/St. John districts.   

The UVI President Dr. David Hall, the Vice President for Institutional Advancement, and the Executive Director of VIUCEDD will be on hand for the presentation.
