About
Founded in 1962, UVI is a public, co-ed, land-grant HBCU in the United States Virgin Islands.
Members of the media are invited to cover and photograph the University of the Virgin Island’s Outdoor Fitness Station ribbon cutting ceremony at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2024, behind the Research and Extension Center building on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix.
Having an outdoor fitness station on campus is essential for promoting physical activity, community building, and improving mental health. It provides an opportunity for people of all fitness levels to get active, enjoy nature, and connect with others. The equipment was donated by the Hamed Family and the Fitness Station was sponsored by the Rotary Club of St. Croix-Harborside, Vivot Equipment Corporation, and UVI.
The University community, family and friends are invited to this special event.
