The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) is reimagining its future, and the public is invited to participate in the process. Members of the community are encouraged to attend one of three agile strategic planning sessions scheduled on Tuesday, Oct. 1, in the LaVerne Ragster Administration and Conference Center on the Orville E. Kean Campus on St. Thomas; Wednesday, Oct. 9, in the Great Hall on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix; and Thursday, Oct. 10 on St. John at the Legislature Building. All sessions begin at 6 p.m.

“We invite the community to be a part of our transformative journey as we create the future of UVI together,” said UVI President Dr. Safiya George. “The University is reimagining the future of UVI in a way that’s bold, innovative, and uniquely ours through an agile strategic planning process, and your input is essential.”

An agile strategic planning process focuses on feedback and allows for innovative and creative solutions that the University can implement while quickly adapting to its changing needs. University personnel will be on hand to guide the public through the planning process and gather the collective knowledge of attendees.

UVI alumni, friends, University stakeholders and the general public are urged not to miss this unique opportunity to leave their mark on UVI and to let their voices be heard. “Step into the conversation and help define the future of UVI,” said Accreditation Committee Co-Chair Sharlene Harris. “By working together, we can shape the future of the University of the Virgin Islands as this institution prepares for the students of tomorrow and the lives that will be impacted by the foundations we lay today.”
