The University of the Virgin Islands Board of Trustees will meet in regular session for their quarterly meeting at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, in the Great Hall on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix.  

The meeting will begin with regular session agenda items, after which UVI President Dr. Safiya George will present the President’s Report, followed by Board Chairman Henry Smock with the Chairman’s Comments. The Board will then consider other agenda items. 

The Board will hear and take action on the selection of members to serve on the Foundation of the University of the Virgin Islands Board of Directors  

The Development Committee will present the status of Fundraising and Alumni Participation for Fiscal Year 2023 and make recommendations to the Board on the Fundraising and alumni participation goals for Fiscal Year 2024.  

The Executive Committee will present to the Board for ratification three new vice president positions at UVI. The Board will then take action on Presidential Goals for Fiscal Year 2024. 

Also at Saturday’s meeting, the Board will hear a presentation from the Finance and Budget Committee and then the Board will hear a presentation from the Governance Committee on candidates for Trustee Emeritus status and take action.  

The Planning Committee will then present UVI’s key performance indicators. The Board will go into executive session and will report any actions taken in executive session before adjourning.
