About
Founded in 1962, UVI is a public, co-ed, land-grant HBCU in the United States Virgin Islands.
From internships to volunteering, traveling or studying abroad, UVI students have many opportunities to learn and work outside the classroom.
Hands-on learning is integrated into our curriculum so you can gain real-world experiences to enhance your classroom learning. UVI nursing students care for real patients at local hospitals, while marine biology majors conduct breakthrough research at local coral reefs. At our Inclusive Childcare Laboratory and Diagnostic Centers, pre-service teachers have a chance to hone their teaching skills in a real classroom with students.
Whether you are studying agriculture or social work, music or marketing, you’ll be challenged to connect what you learn in the classroom in real-world settings.
