Dear UVI Community:
I want to thank those of you who attended the Town Hall Meeting on COVID-19 policies on April 23rd. As I promised, attached are the updated and approved policy on travel for vaccinated individuals, and the proposed policies we discussed in regard to student housing in the Fall and institutional travel in the Fall. Please remember that the latter two are proposed policies that will be presented to the Board of Trustees and are not final until they make a decision. I encourage you to share your thoughts to the proposed policies with your shared governance leaders so those suggestions, reactions, etc. can be shared with me and I will certainly share them with the Board.
In addition to the above, please find below the Zoom recording of the meeting for your ease of reference:

The proposed policies are very critical decisions that affect all of our lives and daily activities. Therefore, we must take the time to be thoughtful and reflective about how we collectively proceed. The safety of our students and employees must always be our primary obligation.
Sincerely,
David Hall
President
