The Administration and Conference Center Building (ACC) at the University of the Virgin Islands’ (UVI) Orville E. Kean Campus on St. Thomas has been named in honor of President Emerita Dr. LaVerne E. Ragster, the University’s fourth president.

Members of the media are invited to cover and photograph the renaming of the University of the Virgin Islands Administration and Conference Center on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 3:30 p.m. on the Orville E. Kean Campus on St. Thomas.

Race and gender are two of the topics to be placed under the microscope of cultural anthropologist Dr. Tami Navarro, at a highly anticipated lecture at the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) on Friday, November 18, 2022. 

The University of the Virgin Islands Association of Black Journalists (UVIABJ) invites the VI community to its second annual, student-led journalism summit on Friday, Nov. 11, and Saturday, Nov. 12, to be held virtually.

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics’ (NAIA) Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) has extended a membership invitation for the University of the Virgin Islands to join the league beginning in the 2023-24 academic year, announced in a press conference on the University’s Orville E. Kean Campus on St. Thomas this morning.

In the regular session of its quarterly meeting on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, in the Administration and Conference Center Building, the University of the Virgin Islands Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve a new Associate of Applied Science degree program in Construction Management.

The University of the Virgin Islands Board of Trustees will meet at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, in the Administration and Conference Center on the Orville E. Kean Campus on St. Thomas.
