Intended Outcomes
UVI will use the self-study process to increase overall effectiveness and to help
its constituents achieve its mission and institutional goals. The first three intended
outcomes are MSCHE expected. The fourth outcome enables the institution to focus on
results of the reflection that would inform the upcoming strategic planning process.
Intended Outcomes for the Self-Study are shown below:
- Demonstrate how UVI currently meets the Commission's Standards for Accreditation and Requirements of Affiliation (Fourteenth Edition) and provides evidence in alignment with the Evidence Expectations by Standard
- Leverage UVI's periodic assessment through each standard, using assessment results
for continuous improvement and innovation to ensure levels of quality for constituents
and the attainment of the institution's priorities, mission, and goals
- Engage the UVI community in an inclusive and transparent self-appraisal process, including
analysis of a range of data, including disaggregated data, to ensure students are
appropriately served and institutional mission and goals are met
- Maximize the Self-Study assessment processes that overlap with strategic planning
efforts to identify core institutional goals and opportunities for the new strategic
initiatives
