About
Founded in 1962, UVI is a public, co-ed, land-grant HBCU in the United States Virgin Islands.
UVI’s Public Relations Office is seeking students who want to be in photos and advertisements promoting UVI. The office is planning a photography shoot this month and is looking for male and female students to take part in this volunteer opportunity. At least 15 students reflecting the diversity of UVI are needed for daytime modeling assignments on the St. Thomas and St. Croix campuses.
To be considered for this opportunity, get your head shot taken and fill out a photo release form at the UVI Public Relations Office, in room 229 of the Administration and Conference Center on the Orville E. Kean Campus on St. Thomas, weekdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Students on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix should call the Public Relations Office at (340) 693-1059 to schedule an appointment.
Images taken during the photo shoot will be used to help publicize the University in the Virgin Islands community and beyond. Photos are typically used on UVI web site pages, University publications – such as UVI Magazine and UVI catalogue, and in a wide variety of local and national print advertisements.
