About
Founded in 1962, UVI is a public, co-ed, land-grant HBCU in the United States Virgin Islands.
Members of the media are invited to cover and photograph the University of the Virgin Islands President Dean’s List and Reception on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix on Sunday, Feb. 26. It will be held in the Great Hall. The University was unable to host in-person ceremonies during the COVID period and will be recognizing current students who made the Dean’s List from Fall 2019 through Fall 2022. The event will be hosted on campus and begin with a 2 p.m. reception followed by a 3 p.m. program.
At UVI, superior student achievement is recognized in a number of ways during each academic year. The Dean’s List recognizes full-time undergraduate students (carrying 12 or more-degree credits) who have earned a grade point average of 3.2 or higher for the semester, with no grade lower than C and not taking any remedial courses. These last few years have been especially challenging with the cascading disruptions and effects of the pandemic. These students continued to excel and are worthy of our celebration and recognition.
