From youth summer camps to college prep courses, STEM programs, online and on-campus classes, there are many ways for students to get ahead this summer at UVI.  
Eastern Caribbean Center Leverages New Technology for the V.I. Community Survey

The Eastern Caribbean Center of the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) has completed the mapping of the U.S. Virgin Islands and will begin the 2024 Virgin Islands Community Survey (VICS) interviews this month. This scientific survey of a sample of households is a follow-up to the one conducted in 2018. The information collected is like that gathered in the Population and Housing Census of 2020.

Members of the media are invited to cover and photograph the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies for two School of Agriculture research facilities – the Agricultural Experiment Station Livestock Facility and Aquaponics Facility at 10 a.m. on May 29, on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix. The first ribbon cutting event will take place at the Aquaponics Facility and then participants will move to the Livestock Facility.

The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) is thrilled to announce the launch of its Job Readiness Summer Program, aimed at empowering graduating high school seniors with essential skills for entering the workforce. Developed and administered by UVI's University Bound program, in collaboration with Cruzan Rum Distillery and the V.I. Department of Labor, this initiative represents a significant step towards preparing the next generation of professionals in the St. Croix and St. Thomas/St. John Districts.

The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) men’s and women’s track and field teams closed out their 2024 season at the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) Track and Field Championships at the Lee Hedges Stadium track in Shreveport, Louisiana. The two-day event that was hosted by the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission on April 19 and 20 ended with UVI placing seventh overall in the final GCAC conference standings.
