The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) is proud to announce that award-winning actor, best-selling author, entrepreneur, and humanitarian Hill Harper will serve as the keynote speaker for the University’s commencement ceremonies. Harper, known for his powerful advocacy and transformative leadership, will address graduates, faculty, and guests at the momentous events to be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 1 p.m. on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix, and on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 1 p.m. at the Elridge W. Blake Sports and Fitness Center on the Orville E. Kean Campus on St. Thomas.

In the regular session of its quarterly meeting on Saturday, March 22, 2025, held in the LaVerne E. Ragster Administration and Conference Center on the Orville E. The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) Voices of Inspiration Community Choir (VIOCC) is proud to announce the return of its Dare to Be Empowerment Initiative on Sunday, March 23, at 5 p.m. in the Great Hall at UVI’s Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix. This year’s theme, "Fearfully and Wonderfully Made," is designed to inspire students to recognize their intrinsic value, build confidence, and step boldly into their purpose.

The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) Board of Trustees will meet at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, in the first-floor conference room of the LaVerne Ragster Administration and Conference Center on the Orville E. Kean Campus on St. Thomas. The meeting will begin with regular session agenda items. UVI President Dr. Safiya George will present the President’s Report followed by Board Chairman Henry Smock with the Chairman’s Comments. The Board will then consider other agenda items.
