The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) is proud to announce that award-winning actor, best-selling author, entrepreneur, and humanitarian Hill Harper will serve as the keynote speaker for the University’s commencement ceremonies. Harper, known for his powerful advocacy and transformative leadership, will address graduates, faculty, and guests at the momentous events to be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 1 p.m. on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix, and on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 1 p.m. at the Elridge W. Blake Sports and Fitness Center on the Orville E. Kean Campus on St. Thomas.

The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) will host the third Annual 13D Business Leadership Lecture, featuring internationally acclaimed hacker, inventor, and futurist Pablos Holman. Dr. Colvin T. Georges, Jr., dean of students at the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix, has been recognized as a Stellar50 Honoree by the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) Black Diaspora Knowledge Community (BDKC). In the regular session of its quarterly meeting on Saturday, March 22, 2025, held in the LaVerne E. Ragster Administration and Conference Center on the Orville E. Kean Campus on St. Thomas, the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve the newly developed 2025-2030 Strategic Plan titled Momentum- Charting a Course to a Grand Destination University Grounded in Excellence.

The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) Voices of Inspiration Community Choir (VIOCC) is proud to announce the return of its Dare to Be Empowerment Initiative on Sunday, March 23, at 5 p.m. in the Great Hall at UVI’s Albert A. This year’s theme, "Fearfully and Wonderfully Made," is designed to inspire students to recognize their intrinsic value, build confidence, and step boldly into their purpose.

The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) Board of Trustees will meet at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, in the first-floor conference room of the LaVerne Ragster Administration and Conference Center on the Orville E. Kean Campus on St. Thomas. The meeting will begin with regular session agenda items. UVI President Dr. Safiya George will present the President’s Report followed by Board Chairman Henry Smock with the Chairman’s Comments. The Board will then consider other agenda items.

Presented by the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS) Communication and Performing Arts Department, the concert will showcase the talents of UVI students and faculty, reflecting the university’s commitment to artistic excellence and cultural enrichment.
