The University of the Virgin Islands will celebrate University Pride throughout the month of April. UVI alumni, students, faculty and staff will showcase their Buccaneer spirit with events in the territory, on campus and online.

The University of the Virgin Islands will present its annual Alfred O. Heath lecture at 6 p.m. on April 18, on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix and April 19, on the St. Thomas Campus.

The University of the Virgin Islands will host the 3rd Annual Virgin Islands Literary Festival from April 19 to 22, on St. Croix.

Angelique Flemming was crowned Miss University of the Virgin Islands 2017-2018 at the 37th Annual Miss UVI Ambassadorial Competition held Saturday, April 8, at the St. Croix Educational Complex on St. Croix.

The University of the Virgin Islands Student Government Association and its Social and Cultural Committee are hosting the 2nd Annual UVI Village, which will be held on Thursday, April 13, in the Sports and Fitness Center front parking lot.

The Prime Minister of Denmark, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, arrived at the University of the Virgin Islands on the morning of April 1, bearing gifts: An announcement that the Danish government will establish a scholarship program for students from the University of the Virgin Islands to study at a Danish university for one semester.
